Meal for Meal is an initiative founded by Momogoose to encourage restauranteurs (like ourselves!) to donate a meal for every meal sold to charities like the World Food Programme (WFP).  Whether a restaurant/ food truck sponsors a “Meal for Meal” drive once, once-in-awhile, or more frequently, every meal counts.

WFP provides vital nourishment around the world to the global poor.  One of their most successful programs is the School Feeding Initiative.  ”In the poorest parts of the world, a school meal programme can double primary school enrolment in one year. Among the key beneficiaries are girls, who otherwise may never be given the opportunity to learn.”  

In the face of vast global needs and ever rising food prices, every contribution counts. Thanks to the hard work of the people at WFP, it only takes 25¢ to provide a meal to a hungry child.

Since announcing our “Meal for Meal” campaign in October 2010, we have raised over 30,000 meals.  Though we have reached our initial goal, we will continue to host “Meal for Meal” drives throughout the year and hope to break our own records.
